On May 9, 2008 Citizens Community Bank celebrated the opening of its fifth branch in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina with a Grand Opening event like none other! The stream of visitors continued throughout the day, getting in on the food and fun. At 4pm, the bank held a drawing for its NASCAR Race Package Giveaway, valued at $1,500.00. The lucky winner, out of 250+ entries, was Mr. Chuck Harrison of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Congratulations Mr. Harrison, and thanks to everyone who visited us for the celebration!

Boydton Fitness and Pharmacy reopening doors

BOYDTON-The Boydton Fitness Center reopened its doors in March after closing on Feb1. Boydton Pharmacy, which closed Jan. 28, is expected to reopen in the next 30 to 60days, officials said. The fitness center and the pharmacy are both overseen by the Boydton HealthCare on the Square facility in downtown Boydton.
The Gasburg Branch of Citizens Community Bank participated in Career Day on Wednesday, February 13th through the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce. CCB sponsored two seniors from Brunswick Academy. They were able to observe the daily routine of the branch staff, learned quite a bit about the banking industry, and even got to do some hands-on checkbook balancing! They ended their visit as our guests at the monthly membership luncheon for the Chamber. Citizens Community Bank congratulates our customer and friend Brian Daniel, Owner and Director of Freedom Life Fitness on the opening of his new facility! Members of the South Hill Chamber of Commerce joined Brian for a ribbon-cutting on Wednesday, January 16th. Freedom Life Fitness is located at 928 Cycle Lane in South Hill. Congratulations to Brian and everyone at Freedom Life Fitness!

Citizens Community Bank's Gasburg branch recently partnered with Community Memorial Healthcenter of South Hill to provide free blood pressure screening clinics to the Gasburg and lake communities. Registered nurse Cindy Felton, from the CMH Wellness Department, will be visiting the Gasburg branch on the second Tuesday of each month from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. This is available to everyone in the community – we encourage you to come and bring a friend!

Citizens Community Bank reached another milestone on July 18, 2007 by breaking ground for its fifth office in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. The Roanoke Rapids branch is poised to be approximately 6,100 square feet and is expected to open in mid-2008. On hand were Citizen’s Community Bank’s Board of Directors, Advisory board members, Management, Staff, and Roanoke Rapids locals.

On June 30th Citizens Community Bank celebrated the opening of its new facility in Gasburg, Virginia with a Grand Re-Opening event like none other! The stream of visitors continued throughout the day, getting in on the food and fun. At 4pm, the bank held a drawing for its Golf Cart Giveaway, valued at $3000.00. The lucky winner, out of 200+ entries, was Mr. Steve Burnette of Valentines, Virginia. Congratulations Mr. Burnette, and thanks to everyone who visited us for the celebration!

The South Hill Enterprise recently sponsored a "Through the Eyes of a Child - Design an Ad" contest. Emily Lester, 5, from All Saints Preschool illustrated Citizens Community Bank. Thank you Emily!

Citizens Community Bank sponsored the SpringFest 2007 Young Artists Competition again this year. Citizens Community Bank recently held a spring coloring contest and received nearly 200 entries. A $50 savings bond was awarded to the winner of each age division. CCB would like to thank area schools for their participation including MC's Kids, First Baptist Christian School, and South Hill Elementary and also our three mystery judges for their assistance.
