Position Description/General Responsibilities:
Must possess the highest level of customer service knowledge, responsible for providing efficient customer service, handling customer transactions, selling bank services and teamwork, and must interact one-on-one with bank customers.

Specific Duties Include:

• Opening all types of customer deposit accounts and ordering checks.
• Closing of accounts.
• Promoting bank products and services.
• Handling renewals of certificates of deposit.
• Selling savings bonds.
• Selling travelers checks.
• Opening safe deposit box accounts and admitting customers to boxes.
• Providing balance information and helping customers with problems.
• Receiving customers, visitors, salesmen, etc. and directing them to the proper personnel.
• Answering telephone and directing call to proper personnel.
• Performing other general secretarial duties as requested.
• Other various duties that may be assigned by Supervisor from time-to-time to aid in the continued operation of the Bank.

Qualifications:

• Banking experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous office experience desired.

Full-Time and Part-Time Floating Teller

We have the following openings: Full Time Teller in Gasburg VA, Gaston, NC, and Roanoke Rapids, NC.; Part time teller in Boydton, VA, and Gasburg, VA.

As a teller, you would be responsible for handling transactions and building relationships while assisting our customers with their financial objectives. May be required to work extended hours and Saturday mornings.

Requirements:

• High School diploma
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to service, sell and cross-sell products and services to establish and deepen customer relationships
• Ability to work under conditions of heavy business volume and frequent distractions
• Problem solving ability
• Basic knowledge of personal computers and related software
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred
